Golden haul for WA at the VICTOR Oceania Para Badminton Championships 2025

Western Australia’s para badminton squad closed the championships with impact, collecting 11 medals and delivering polished performances across every event.

Lochan Cowper headlined the campaign with a brilliant triple gold: Men’s WH1 Singles, Men’s Doubles alongside Ali Qambar Akhteyari, and Mixed Doubles with Mischa Ginns. Three events, three titles, clinical and composed.

Kate Colley added WA’s shine with gold in SH6, converting pressure points with precision. Caitlin Dransfield produced a high-class week, securing Doubles gold and silver in SL3 through smart tactics and focus.

Veteran competitor Grant Manzoney added three medals to the tally with silver in Men’s WH2 Singles, silver in Men’s Doubles with Martyn Ford, and bronze in Mixed Doubles with Macka McKenzie, showcasing decision-making and consistency under pressure.

Rounding out the podium results, Nang Van Nguyen earned double bronze in Men’s WH1 Singles and Doubles, delivering key wins when it mattered.
