Wings Junior Programme

Wings is Badminton WA’s foundation programme to encourage participation of school-aged juniors (7 - 17 years old). It is designed to prepare the juniors with the correct fundamental skills to progress along the Player’s Development Pathway of Foundation ⇒Talent ⇒ Elite ⇒ Mastery

Wings Junior Badminton Clubs aim to bring badminton to juniors across all communities. There are multiple locations around the Perth metropolitan area.

The Programme consists of three key components:
• Wings Junior Badminton Clubs - during school terms throughout the year, run by a nationally qualified coach with current Working With Children Check.
• Junior Holiday Programme - generally in the July and January school holidays
• Wings Competition - in various formats exclusive to Wings Players

Badminton WA is proud to promote the national "Shuttle Smash" initiatives in 2025.

WINGS Junior Program - Membership and Enrolment

Players must be Badminton WA members to participate. This provides access to sports insurance coverage while playing.

To register for the annual membership, please click HERE. When registering for the membership, please select the membership option: BAWA Direct Junior Wings Only (Under 18). 

To enroll for the programme, please click on the register link for the respective venues.

***Please note membership must be in the child's name to be able to register in the Wings programme***

This programme is KidSport supported, hence if your child is a successful applicant, please contact us either via email (bawa@badmintonwa.org.au) or call the BAWA office at 9409 4433 to discuss on the enrolment.
