Badminton WA is proud to celebrate the remarkable success of our Western Australian athletes at the 2025 National Para Badminton Championships, held at the Altona Badminton Centre in Victoria.
In a showcase of elite skill, resilience, and sportsmanship, Team WA emerged as the National Champions in the Teams Event, defeating Victoria in a hard-fought final. New South Wales secured third place, with South Australia finishing fourth.
Led by Head Coach Mark Cunningham, the WA squad featured a strong contingent of athletes who delivered outstanding individual performances across multiple classifications.
Among the standout performers were Lochan Cowper and Katelyn Colley, who both claimed National Singles Championships in their respective classifications — WH1 Men’s Singles and SH6 Mixed Gender Singles. Lochan delivered a truly remarkable tournament, achieving the triple crown by winning Singles, Doubles (with Ali Qambar), and Mixed Doubles (with Mischa Ginns).
