The Duncraig Badminton Club has been operating at the Duncraig Recreation Centre since it opened in 1974. We run evening badminton sessions every Wednesday from 8:00pm to 10:00pm, with four wooden floor courts reserved each week.
We are a social badminton club best suited for experienced badminton players only. Visitors are welcome to attend sessions and may be considered for membership. The current visitor fee is $15 for adults and $12 for juniors still attending school. As a disability accessible badminton club for all skilled players, we provide a supportive and accessible playing environment for those looking for a competitive game.
Experience Level of Club:
Our club does not have the capacity to accommodate beginner level or intermediate level players. We are strictly advanced A GRADE - C GRADE level for competitive social players. Some members are known to regularly compete in local, state, national and international competitions.
Facilities & Amenities:
The Duncraig Recreation Centre has disability access, refrigerated water fountain, toilets, change rooms and showers available.
While there is a kitchen on site, it is not accessible during club sessions.

Yes. There is free parking available with limited bays.
There is public transport available via bus routes 423 and 441 (Warwick Rd. & Ron Chamberlain Dr. Stop 18659), Bus 423 From Stirling and Warwick Stations or bus 441 from Warwick and Whitfords Stations.
Equipment Hire & Pro Shop:
We do not officially have a hire and repair shop, though members often have a spare racquet or two. As we are an experienced player club, we have members who have the skill set to wrap grips or tighten/restring a racquet. Our members can recommend local professional services for any racquet repairs.
Fees/Membership Plans (Monthly/Yearly):
Our visitor session fees are $15 for adults and $12 for juniors still at school.
Membership fees are inclusive of the Badminton WA registration fee, which can be waived on proof of another Badminton WA club membership.
- 12 months, $130 (April to March)
- 6 months, $90 (April or October)
- Member session fees are adults $10, juniors still at school $10.
Training and Coaching Programs:
We do not have official coaching and training programs but we have members who are qualified badminton coaches. Our regular players are advanced, highly competitive players with technical expertise and knowledge in badminton.
Professional Coaching:
We do not permit private coaching in club sessions as it can be disruptive for other players. Private trainers and coaches are permitted to play and advise with the approval of other players during session times. We do not permit after session practice time.
Tournaments and Events:
Many of our players regularly compete in competitions of all kinds and the club encourages all members to compete in official tournaments.
We like to arrange a Christmas/end of year wrap up event for members outside of session times (depending on numbers and availabilities).
