1/10/08: Just letting everyone know that Samuel and Kim rang last night. WA won 2 of their 3 matches yesterday- beat NT and NSW- lost to VIC 1.

Juniors Update: 2008 U15 Val Nesbitt Carnival/ 2008 U15 Regional Teams Event Victoria 1 has defeated NSW 1 in the playoff for 1st and 2nd placings in the Val Nesbitt Teams Event. The Victoria Team (Hu-Wen Chew, Matthew Chau, Wilson Tang, Louisa Ma, Vinning Mak and Sarah Wong) completed a powerful 7-1 victory to finish with 37 victories from their 40 completed matches.

The Victoria 2 Team made it a double celebration when they defeated Western Australia 7-1 to finish in 3rd place. The Team (Sawan Serasinghe, Athithan Selladurai, Lucas Rais-Colvin, Ruwindi Serasinghe, Rojini Selladurai and Natasha David) were expecting a tough match with the "sand-groppers", but played some outstanding badminton to dominate the tie.

The carnival now moves on to the individual event (The Australian Under 15 Championships) to be contest over the next three days. Congratulations to the Western Suburbs Badminton Association on a very well run format for the teams event.
