Gibson & Gibson 2009 Official of the Year: Mr Gregory Vellacott

At the 2009 ANZ Sports Star Awards at the Golden Ballroom, Burswood on 7th January 2010, Greg Vellacott was named OFFICIAL OF THE YEAR!

This is a great reward for many years of service to the sport of Badminton. In the citation, the many National and International events at which Greg had officiated were noted.

This is also recognition for our sport.

Greg was accompanied to the dinner by his wife, Kerry, and several family members. The announcement received acclaim from other Badminton people present - Nick Kidd, Bronwen Doig, Judith Cousins, Kay Terry, Phyllis Jupp, Mike Kidd, Linda Greenway.

Phyllis, a Life Member of Badminton WA, was a worthy winner of this award.
