How to affiliate with BAWA: form and details
Download, save and complete the form below and return by email. Badminton Association of WA membership affiliation is from 1st April to last day of March the following year. Clubs may affiliate at any time. Member cards are posted and members rights are granted upon reciept of the affiliation fee and relevant forms. BAWA Insurance For Players, Clubs and Coaches
Most clubs think they are covered for their members by the Recreation centre- but they are WRONG! Recreation centres need to be consulted on what they do cover, often it is public liability but not for amateur sports activity. Clubs are open to claims of negligence if they are not affiliated with BAWA or do not have their own cover - read here what BAWA affiliation covers you for. If any BAWA members have any specific questions on the BA group plan insurances (including the need for a claim form), they can either contact the broker listed on the BA website, or speak to the BAWA Treasurer directly by contacting the BAWA office in the first instance. Badminton WA Awards
The Badminton WA awards are held annually to reward the badminton community members who compete at a high level or give service to the community. Nominations are due in August and then forwarded tro the ANZ Sport Star Awards. Badminton WA celebrate in our own way with a presentation at the Country Carnival event held in June.
